Introduction
The Hanoi University of Business and Management was founded in 1996, and renamed to Hanoi University of Business and Technology (HUBT) in 2006. At the same time of rename the Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering was established. At present the Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is comprised of two departments: the Department of Mechatronics and the Department of Automobile Engineering.
The Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering focuses on three aspects of education:
1. Understanding basic concepts, facts, and principles in mechatronics and industrial manufacturing technology;
2. Developing the ability to apply basic knowledge through experiments and practical training;
3. Developing the ability to challenge new themes and fields for graduation work.
Department of Mechatronics
The Department of Mechatronics aims to train practical engineers with basic knowledge and skills on applied mechanical and electrical applications, computer skills to solve problems related to design, manufacture, operation, improvement and maintenance of mechanical systems, mechatronic equipment.
The Department of Mechatronics provides three specialized training areas:
- Mechatronics and automation of production processes,
- Applied informatics in engineering,
- Mechatronics in automotive engineering.
Department of Automobile Engineering
The Department of Automobile Engineering aims to train practical engineers with basic knowledge and skills on automobile technology and applied electronics in automotive equipment, capable of repair, design, manufacturing, operation, improvement and maintenance of automotive systems.
